Police Officer Struck and Killed by Distracted Driver While Conducting Traffic Stop

Scottsdale, Ariz. — The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) is investigating a fatal collision involving a Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community police officer, that occurred on January 8, 2019, at 6:04 p.m.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) will host a media availability with the Ranger 1 helicopter crew who performed the first nighttime technical rescue in AZDPS aviation history, of a stranded hiker near Sedona on November 10, 2018.
