On Thursday, July 15, 2021, Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) Maricopa Criminal Targeting Unit detectives arrested 29-year-old Adrian F. Gonzalez and executed a search warrant at his Mesa residence.
On April 10, 2021, at approximately 2:03 p.m., Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) troopers responded to a call of shots fired on Interstate 10 near 43rd Avenue in Phoenix. The victim driver and passenger were traveling eastbound when they observed a white Kia maneuvering in an erratic manner, swerving across multiple lanes of traffic before cutting off the victim vehicle and nearly causing a collision.
On Friday, July 2, 2021, at approximately 1:20 p.m., the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) received a report of a three-vehicle collision involving two passenger vehicles and a commercial tractor-trailer on eastbound Interstate 10 at milepost 82, near Tonopah.

On the evening of Saturday, May 15, 2021, an Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) Canine District trooper stopped the driver of a tractor-trailer on Interstate 10 westbound at milepost 237, near Marana, for multiple violations. A vehicle search was conducted, and troopers discovered 44.9 pounds of heroin, 40 pounds of fentanyl pills and 21.4 pounds of methamphetamine stowed in backpacks and duffel bags inside the cab of the truck.
AZDPS will hold a media availability with the two good Samaritans who rescued Trooper Casey Rhinehart from his patrol vehicle following the fatal collision on U.S. Route 93 near Wickenburg on April 30, 2021.
Trooper Rhinehart was released from the hospital on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 4th, 2021.
