**Update: Monday, July 17, 2023 - Suspect Arrested in Connection with Fatal Hit-and-Run**

At approximately 8:00 a.m. on Monday, July 17, 2023, a male suspect turned himself in to law enforcement at the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office headquarters in Phoenix in connection with the July 16th fatal hit-and-run collision on U.S. 60 near Meridian Road.

Troopers responded and arrested Robert C. Moyer II, 45, of Peoria, on one charge of leaving the scene of a fatal collision.

The pedestrian victim in this collision has been identified as a 16-year-old girl from Mesa.

**Initial Information: Sunday, July 16, 2023**

Troopers seek public assistance locating the driver of a pickup truck involved in a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian collision on eastbound U.S. 60 at the Meridian Road off-ramp (near milepost 194) at 7:40 a.m. on Sunday, July 16, 2023.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white single cab dually flatbed pickup truck with black rails. The pickup truck will have damage to the front passenger side and may have broken headlights.

Troopers believe the female victim was walking along the highway when she was struck by the pickup truck. The driver of the pickup did not remain on the scene.
