San Manuel Elks Names Area Trooper of the Year

The San Manuel Elks, located near Oracle, AZ, honored First Responders and their families near the Oracle area. Among the First Responders was Capt. Glen Swavely, Sgt. Rudy Lujan and Trooper Angel Gomez, representing DPS and District Six.

19 Lateral Troopers Graduate the State Trooper Academy

Today 19 lateral candidates graduated from the AZDPS State Trooper Academy. Four of the new troopers worked at law enforcement agencies out of state. This is the first lateral-only AZDPS academy this year.

"Make-A-Wish" Granted by the AZDPS SWAT Team

Raiden Aguilera's wish is to one day be a SWAT Operator. On December 7, 2017, the Arizona Department of Public Safety's SWAT team made this wish come true! The SWAT team went above and beyond what Raiden and his family expected for their Wish Day.
