Strategic Resources

The Strategic Resources Section comprises diverse units that provide vital support functions for the Department and the public. The Strategic Resources Section consists of asset forfeiture, research and planning, safety and loss, and security.

The research and planning unit is essential to police planning functions and maintains department policies and manuals. Asset forfeiture is charged with tracking department criminal cases involving seized assets and processing them through the criminal justice system to final resolution. Safety and loss oversees the Department’s risk management program and claims processing and analysis. Security provides physical security for the department's main campus and monitors alarms, access control, and cameras statewide.

The Strategic Resources Section leadership includes a captain, one sergeant, and two professional staff supervisors.
