Impaired Drivers to be Targeted by Major Enforcement Effort

Maricopa County, Arizona — On December 16, 2016, the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS), in conjunction with the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS), will sponsor a major law enforcement detail targeting impaired drivers.

Arizona – The Legislature allocated $2.1 million to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) last session to purchase virtual training simulators for training of law enforcement officers throughout Arizona.

Pursuit of a Carjacking Suspect Ends in Collision

Munds Park – A carjacking suspect in a stolen vehicle led law enforcement on a pursuit along I -17. During the pursuit, the suspect fired at pursuing vehicles before colliding head-on into a commercial vehicle.
