Black Canyon City - Troopers responded to a multiple vehicle collision which blocked southbound I-17 for several hours on Sunday evening.
At approximately 3:08 a.m., troopers responded to a call of a man on the highway in the area of westbound SR202, west of 40th Street. It is a criminal offense for pedestrians to be on the highway which includes the right-of-way adjacent to the road.
5-1-17 Initial Incident
- 5:00am - Troopers responded to a single vehicle motorcycle collision on southbound I-17 south of Yorkshire.
- Shortly after the initial crash, a second collision occurred in the same area.
Update: 9-11-17, 11:35 a.m.
Blood Alcohol Results: Toxicology results from the Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Officer show wrong- way driver Keaton Allison had a blood alcohol level of .25 at the time of the collision.
