Phoenix — January has been declared as Human Trafficking Prevention Month by Governor Doug Ducey. The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) has taken several steps to prevent human trafficking here in Arizona, especially the trafficking of children.

Holbrook, Arizona — On December 10, 2017, at around 3:15 p.m., a state trooper initiated a traffic stop on a pickup truck traveling eastbound on I-40 for speeding.

Phoenix — The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) and Northern Arizona University (NAU) will host 70 students from Washington High School, Franklin Police and Fire High School and NAU as they get an up-close look inside the Department.

Law Enforcement Officers Fired Upon Near Bouse Wash Rest Area on Westbound Interstate 10

Bouse Wash Rest Area, Arizona- On November 28, 2017 at around 1:50 a.m., an attempt to locate (ATL) was put out by the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) dispatch regarding a shooting suspect wanted by the Phoenix Police Department.

Distracted, Impaired and Unrestrained Drivers Will Be Getting Special Attention

Phoenix — The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) has received $35,000 in federal funds, specifically to help with expenses for troopers taking part in enhanced distracted driving operations statewide.

Homicide Suspect Arrested by State Trooper in Northern Arizona

Yavapai County, Ariz — A traffic stop by an AZDPS trooper led to the rescue of two young children, a seizure of black tar heroin, and the arrest of their parents. A subsequent investigation by state detectives revealed a connection between the driver and a 2014 homicide in Aurora, Colorado.
