14-Year-Old Suspect Sought in Apache County Homicide in Custody

Pinetop-Lakeside, Arizona — On the morning of October 3, 2017, a burglary was reported at a residence in Concho, Arizona. The Apache County Sheriff’s Office responded to the residence in order to investigate. An occupant of the residence was discovered deceased, the victim of a homicide. The Arizona Department of Public Safety’s Criminal Investigations Division was requested to investigate the homicide.

 

 

The suspect, a 14-year-old boy, was taken into custody at approximately 7:00 p.m. this evening, in the Pinetop-Lakeside area by detectives with the Arizona Department of Public Safety. The juvenile was hungry and thirsty, but otherwise in good health. He surrendered without incident.

 

 

The suspect will be booked on an arrest warrant for 1st Degree Murder and Burglary in the 1st Degree.
