Drive-By Shooter Sought By State Detectives
Phoenix, Ariz. — State detectives need the public’s help in locating a black woman in her twenties that fired a bullet into the pickup truck of a man on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at 7:15 p.m., while driving westbound along I-10, near the SR 51 junction.
The woman was driving erratically prior to firing the bullet from a KIA Soul sport utility vehicle (SUV) westbound along I-10 between the US 60 transition and the 3rd Street HOV off-ramp, on or about 7:15 p.m., on Saturday, 8/20/16. The bullet struck the bed of a pickup truck; no one was injured. See attached photos of the bullet hole in the pickup truck.
The suspect was described as a black woman in her mid-to-late 20’s with a short greased hair style. The KIA Soul is a small cube-shaped SUV. See attached stock photo of a KIA Soul SUV.
State detectives are asking the public to report any information that may have led up to this incident – to include the erratic driving behavior, the drive-by shooting or details that could lead to the identification of the driver and the involved vehicle.
