AZDPS duo puts in remarkable bowling performance during the 2016 Nevada Police and Fire Games in Las Vegas
AZDPS Captain Chris Hemmen and AZDPS Trooper Mike Grzybowski competed in the Bowling Events at the 2016 Nevada Police and Fire Games held July 28-30 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The events, which were held at the South Point Hotel and Casino, consisted of throwing five games per day, including team, doubles, and singles categories. Medals were also awarded for all events, recognizing performance over all 15 games.
For the second year in a row, Hemmen and Grzybowski came home with the Silver Medal in the Doubles Event of the Masters Division.
In an exciting game five (the final game), both had the opportunity to steal the Gold Medal in the 10th frame, but fell short after failing to strike. Hemmen’s game of 267 and Grzybowski’s 255 still added much viewing interest to the final pair of lanes by those adding scores to hopefully win medals.
Grzybowski was also awarded the Silver Medal in the All Events category at the conclusion of the games for his performance over all three days.
The Nevada Police and Fire Games are held annually. Participants include members of the Law Enforcement, Fire Fighter, and Military community along with their spouses.
