The DPS Phoenix Forensic Science and Crime Laboratory

The Design and Construction Section provides the following services:

Responsible for the design and construction of new Department facilities and the renovation of existing facilities.

Evaluation and preparation of cost estimates for Requested Facilities Work and all other construction activities.

The selection of outside professional consultants through the RFP process to design new facilities.

Provides project management services overseeing outside professional consultants services.

Preparation of RFQ’s or formal bid packages for construction in accordance with State Procurement Code.

Evaluation of bids and preparation of contracts for construction.

Construction contract administration services for the supervision and monitoring of construction projects and costs.

Communicates through the various Division Facilities Liaisons on the status of construction projects.

Provides architectural services to the Department.
