Mt. Graham's Safe House (MGSH) was established in December 1995 and has become a rural regional program. The service area contains Graham and Greenlee Counties and the San Carlos Apache Reservation. MGSH is the only 24-hour secured facility within a 100+ miles radius. MGSH employs 3 bilingual personnel to assist with any Spanish, Apache speaking persons with one staff as member of the San Carlos Apache Tribe located at a satellite office in San Carlos. MGSH provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, advocacy, food, clothing, lay legal assistance, transportation, and other services as needed to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
