Crime Victims Services - Domestic Violence

Over 1.8 million American women are beaten by their partners, although only 1 out of 10 beatings are ever reported.

Approximately 1 out of every 25 elderly persons is victimized annually.

Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women between the ages of 15 and 44.

Special thanks to the Governor’s Office for Domestic Violence Prevention for contributing to this section of our Web site.
