Arizona Department of Public Safety Officer Recovering from Severe Injuries following Semi-Truck Collision
Incident occurred on Interstate 40 near Williams December 19th

DPS Officer Greg King continues to recover at Flagstaff Medical Center following an incident that occurred on December 19th along the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 near Williams. Officer King was standing at the right rear of his patrol vehicle in the emergency lane directing traffic from an earlier collision when a Semi tractor Trailer struck his patrol vehicle pushing the car into the officer.
Officer King sustained severe internal injuries and was flown to FMC. He is making great progress and is able to move both arms.
The DPS Vehicular Crimes Unit is investigating the collision. Officer King is a reserve having recently retired from DPS. He has been with the agency since 1985.
