Arizona Department of Public Safety Expresses its deep sorrow regarding the death of Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever

Arizona Department of Public Safety Director Robert Halliday has expressed his deep sorrow upon learning of the passing of long-time Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever.
“On behalf of DPS, I just wanted to extend our sincere condolences to the Dever family along with the men and women of the Cochise County Sheriff’s Department and to the people of Cochise County. This is a tragic loss not just for Larry’s County but for the entire state. Larry Dever was a true friend and excellent law enforcement professional and a man of impeccable integrity. He loved being sheriff of Cochise County and was committed to doing what was best for Arizona,” said Arizona Department of Public Safety Director Robert Halliday.
Director Halliday went on to say DPS stands ready to assist the Cochise County Sheriff’s Department in the next days and weeks as it tries to adjust to the untimely passing of Larry Dever.
