The award presentation will begin at noon. At 1p.m., Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) Captain Andy Vasquez of the Gang and Immigration Intelligence Team Enforcement Mission (GIITEM), along with gang expert Chuck Schoville, will be available to discuss current crime trends in Arizona involving violent gangs.

The Arizona Gang Investigators Association holds an annual conference, along with quarterly training seminars, for members of the law enforcement community to educate them about the newest gang tactics and trends. This year the Arizona DPS is hosting the conference.

If you would like to attend the awards ceremony portion of this unique event, or speak with the gang experts mentioned above, please contact DPS Sgt. Jesse Galvez at 602-292-0156.
