The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) to receive awards from the United States Secret Service (USSS)

On Monday May 14 at 1 p.m., the USSS will present DPS with two certificates related to DPS’ assistance with the protection of the President and other political figures.

The first certificate is signed by the USSS Director, Mark Sullivan and will be presented by the Special Agent in Charge of the Phoenix Field Office, Kevin Rice at our headquarters located at 2102 West Encanto Boulevard in Phoenix. This award is for DPS’ continued support of the USSS and Colonel Robert Halliday is prepared to accept the award on behalf of DPS.

The second certificate will be presented to our motor officers, lead by Captain Burley Copeland, for there direct action in the protection of the President’s motorcades throughout the years.

DPS is thankful for the recognition from the USSS and take pride in the service we provide to other police agencies throughout this country.
