DPS to conduct its sixth multi-agency DUI Warrant Round-up

During the beginning of this Fourth-of-July holiday weekend, from Thursday, June, 30 , through Friday, July, 1, 2011, the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) will host its sixth multi-agency DUI Warrant Round-up, with participation and assistance from the Phoenix Police Department and the Maricopa County Adult Probation Department.
The round-up command post will be set up at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM both days. Teams of officers will be deploying across the metro Phoenix area to serve arrest warrants on those who have absconded on their DUI charges and judicial process.
Those wishing to turn themselves in can do so at the appropriate court.
The DPS DUI Warrant Squad, formed over one-year ago, has made well over 1000 arrests.
