Arizona Department of Public Safety GIITEM (Gang & Immigration Intelligence Team Enforcement Mission) task force makes eight arrests in northern Arizona as part of Operation "Sand Castle"

On Wednesday, December 8, 2010, a task force composed of DPS GITTEM Detectives, Kingman Police, Lake Havasu Police, Bullhead City Police, Fort Mohave Tribal Police, the Mohave County Sheriff's Office and ICE served search warrants at 10 different locations in Golden Valley, Fort Mohave, Lake Havasu City and Bullhead City. Officers were looking for several members of the Vagos motorcycle gang involved in a fight on Rio Lomas Beach in Bullhead City last July. The gang members severely assaulted teenagers and other adults during a melee on the beach. These gang members freely victimized others. Law enforcement sent a zero tolerance message today through Operation “Sand Castle”.

A total of eight arrests were made as part of Operation “Sand Castle”. Five suspects face charges of rioting and participating in a criminal street gang.

Those arrested were:

Dale Warren Smith, 52, Mohave Valley

Charges: Rioting-Participating in a Criminal Street Gang-Aggravated Assault

Shawn Patrick Bailey, 35, Bullhead City

Charges: Rioting-Participating in a Criminal Street Gang-Aggravated Assault

Shawn Lee Muncy, 41, Bullhead City

Charges: Rioting-Participating in a Criminal Street Gang-Aggravated Assault

Gabriel Timothy Nader Jr., 25, Golden Valley

Charges: Rioting-Participating in a Criminal Street Gang-Aggravated Assault

Robert George Keller III, 35, Bullhead City

Charges: Rioting-Participating in a Criminal Street Gang-Aggravated Assault

Jeffrey Daniel Woods, 53, Lake Havasu City

Charges: Misconduct involving weapons-drug paraphernalia

Nick Bernard Prano, 54, Lake Havasu City

Charges: Possession of Dangerous Drugs-drug paraphernalia

Daniel Michael Macdonald, 52, Bullhead City

Charges: Misconduct with weapons, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia,

Insurance fraud.
