Arizona Department of Public Safety and Phoenix Police Join Forces to Arrest Subjects with DUI Warrants
DPS and Phoenix PD join forces for a DUI warrant roundup

On May 27 & 28, 2010 the Arizona Department of Public Safety and the Phoenix Police Department are joining forces and deploying officers valley wide to arrest individuals with warrants for Driving Under the Influence.
In a program funded by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (G.O.H.S.) officers will be tracking individuals down at their homes and places of business to arrest them for outstanding DUI warrants. Currently there are over 20,000 DUI warrants in Maricopa County alone.
A command post will be set up at the Arizona State Veteran’s Coliseum (Game & Fish building) on the 27th and 28th. Captain Golden will be on site by 0530 for interviews. Arrangements for media ride-a-longs will be made if requested.
