More than 400 pounds of marijuana seized

On February 10, 2010, the Phoenix Police Department received a tip regarding a possible drop house for illegal immigrants at 7905
As IIMPACT detectives entered the property, two suspects fled out the back of the home but were apprehended. As officers checked the back, a strong odor of marijuana was coming from the house. Inside, officers found 18 large bundles of marijuana in a back closet. Several other bales were being cut up for packaging and sale.
A search warrant was served. Approximately 400 pounds of marijuana, a fully loaded SKS assault rifle and two semi-automatic handguns were recovered.
