Arizona Department of Public Safety seizes 2.25 pounds of crystal meth and 10.34 pounds of cocaine in less than a week
Routine traffic stops result in major narcotics seizures

On December 30, 2009, at approximately 11:35 a.m. an Arizona Department of Public Safety officer stopped a 2003 GMC pickup truck on westbound Interstate 10 at milepost 88, about 50 miles west of Phoenix. A search of the vehicle revealed 10.34 pounds of cocaine concealed in a speaker box behind the seat. One suspect was arrested and the vehicle was seized.

On January 3, 2009, at approximately 9:50 a.m. two DPS officers stopped two vehicles traveling together on I-40 at milepost 313, near Holbrook. After a consent search, 2.25 pounds of crystal methamphetamine was located in the spare tire of the first vehicle. Two suspects were arrested and booked in the Navajo County Jail. A 2009
