*Update* on "Operation Quiet Riot" Seventh and final person located and arrested

Following a six-month investigation, a multi-agency law enforcement task force comprised of DPS GIITEM officers, Kingman Police, Bullhead City Police, Lake Havasu Police Flagstaff Police, Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, and the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office served seven felony arrest warrants for members of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club and Desert Road Riders as well as eight search warrants.

An ongoing struggle for power between the Hells Angels and its allied group the Desert Road Riders against a rival motorcycle club, the Vagos, in northwestern Arizona has resulted in a series of violent assaults inside several bars in Bullhead City. On December 2, 2009, officers carrying felony warrants fanned out in three separate Northern Arizona counties, (Mohave, Yavapai, and Coconino) looking for seven violent members of the Hells Angels and Desert Road Riders and arrested six of the seven men wanted. The seventh man was spotted by DPS Dectectives and taken into custody in Douglas Ariz. The initial arrest warrant charge was Riot, which is a felony in Arizona. In addition, eight search warrants were executed relating to charges of taking part in a criminal street gang.

The aim of “Operation Quiet Riot” is to make communities safer.

* “Dan Da Man” Clifford Daniel Balentine 54, Bullhead City

(Hormuth and Helland are Hells Angels members. Balentine and Snider are Desert Road Riders)

*Helland was found in possession of a Shotgun and a Revolver, he is a prohibited possessor and will be charged with misconduct involving weapons, possession of a firearm by a prohibited possessor. Also, he was in possession of meth and marijuana paraphernalia. Additional charges are being submitted by the Mohave County Attorney's Office. *

GIITEM Detectives also served a search warrant at the Hell’s Angels Clubhouse in Flagstaff as well as at the residence of "Junior" John Ross Pemberton, 30, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., a documented member of the Hells Angels Nomad Chapter. Pemberton was cited and released for possession of prescription only drugs without a prescription and illegal fireworks.
