Retirement Benefits
Benefits are administered by either the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System or the Arizona State Retirement System depending on your rank.
Time Off (Vacation & Sick Time)
Vacation time is accrued based on years of service with the Department as follows:
- 10 hours earned per month (0 - 5 years of service)
- 12 hours earned per month (6 - 10 years of service)
- 14 hours earned per month (11 - 20 years of service)
- 16 hours earned per month (21+ years of service)
Sick time is accrued on a flat rate for all employees:
- 10 hours earned per month
Paid Holidays
- Ten (10) paid holidays are recognized per year
