Retirement Benefits

Benefits are administered by either the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System or the Arizona State Retirement System depending on your rank.

• Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (sworn)
• Arizona State Retirement System (civilian)

Time Off (Vacation & Sick Time)

Vacation time is accrued based on years of service with the State as follows:

Years of Service	Hours Accrued Bi-weekly	Working Days of Leave per Year
0 to 5	4.62	15+
6 to 10	5.54	18+
11 to 20	6.47	21+
21+	7.39	24+
Sick Leave is accrued at a flat rate for all employees:
Full-Time	4.62	15+

 

Paid Holidays

• Ten (10) paid holidays are recognized per year
