Financial Services

Overview

The Financial Services Bureau provides management oversight in support of the Grants Unit, the Forfeiture & Victim Services Section, the Finance Section and the Logistics Administration Section.

Sections

Financial Services consists of the following sections:

Grants Administration Section
  • Provides administrative and accounting assistance in support of the Department’s various grant programs
  • Administers the Criminal Justice Enhancement Fund (CJEF) grant program
  • Administers the process allocating and accounting for the expenditure of Department RICO funds


Forfeiture & Victim Services
  • Administers the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) federal block grant
  • Administers the Department’s asset forfeiture program pursuant to Arizona’s Racketeering Influenced Crime Organized (RICO) and drug forfeiture laws


Finance Section
  • Administers the Department’s payroll process
  • Coordinates the employee travel and expense reimbursement process
  • Coordinates the cash deposit and intra/inter agency cash transfer process
  • Administers the Department’s account payable process
  • Maintains and distributes the Department’s budget management reports
  • Administers the Department’s procurement activities for the purchase of all goods, services and construction projects.*
  • Administers the Department’s procurement card program


Logistics Administration Section
  • Establishes contacts, purchases and provides first-aid, office and field supplies to enforcement and support staff through the main Supply Warehouse
  • Tracks capital and accountable equipment through the use of the Department’s Capital Outlay System (KAPO) and the State’s USAS fixed asset system
  • Develops, modifies and maintains department forms for use by department employees.
  • Provides mail service for the Department
  • Provides printing services for the Department
  • Coordinates disposal of surplus department equipment through auction, sale, transfer to another law enforcement or criminal justice agency, trade-in and general disposal via DOA State Surplus Property
