The Facilities Management Bureau oversees the operation and maintenance of over 931,566 square feet of department owned or leased building space throughout Arizona. The Facilities Management Bureau supports the Department’s mission in the following ways:

Facilities Managements consists of the following sections:

Maintenance Section

Maintains departmentally-owned facilities throughout the state, performing corrective and preventative maintenance. Technical personnel are on call 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Provides custodial and grounds keeping for the Phoenix headquarters complex and district offices statewide.



Design & Construction

Directs the design and construction of new departmental facilities and renovation of existing facilities statewide.



Planning & Security

Monitors space utilization and provides long-range planning for the Department’s space requirements. Develops the Department’s three-year Capital Improvement Plan. Negotiates, prepares and manages the Department’s building/land leases and purchases. Develops and implements the Department’s master-keying system, including key issue and control. Coordinates utility services for the Department’s facilities statewide. Provides security for departmental personnel and facilities.
