Jack Lane, Chief
Chief Jack G. Lane has been member of the Arizona Department of Public Safety since 1978, beginning his career as a Highway Patrol Officer and later as a Narcotics Detective. After becoming a Sergeant, Chief Lane supervised a Narcotics Undercover Squad and later worked at the Arizona Law Enforcement Training Academy where he served as a Basic Training Supervisor. As a Lieutenant, Chief Lane served in the Department’s Highway Patrol, Internal Affairs, the Criminal Investigation Special Investigations Unit, Narcotics/Organized Crime, and the Major Crimes District. As a Commander, Chief Lane served as the Department Government Liaison assigned to the Director’s Office. Jack was promoted to Chief, Highway Patrol Division, in March 2005. Chief Lane is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, the Southwest Command College, and the Arizona State University Executive Leadership and Advanced Public Executive Program.
